about me

I am a clinical social worker and psychotherapist. I graduated in 2014 with a Masters of Social Work and Masters of Human Sexuality Education from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania. I have worked in a variety of settings with diverse populations, including a group counseling practice, a college counseling center, a home hospice agency, and a community cancer center. I opened my private practice in Bellingham in the summer of 2018.

I have always enjoyed working with women of all ages. As a graduate student I worked as a clinical intern in the Counseling Center at Bryn Mawr Women’s College, and loved working with young adults who were navigating the transition to adulthood. As a hospice and oncology social worker, I had the opportunity to support young women coping with the shock of breast cancer and the impacts on their families. My private practice focuses on the unique needs of women and gender-diverse clients, with a focus on the influence of gender dynamics and societal expectations on mental health.

My therapeutic style is warm, empathetic, and nonjudgemental. I value authentic relationships with my clients, and believe that a close therapeutic relationship is an important part of our work together. I love to laugh with my clients! I view therapy as a collaborative process, in which we work together to help you experience greater self-awareness and understanding. I incorporate elements of many types of therapy to help you recognize your strengths, learn coping skills, and find creative solutions to your problems.
