Psychotherapy
I provide individual therapy with a warm, supportive approach for women and gender-diverse clients ages 21 and over. I have a cozy office in downtown Fairhaven, and I also offer telehealth for clients who prefer video sessions or are located elsewhere in Washington. I practice from a humanistic perspective, a holistic approach which emphasizes your inherent strengths and encourages self-exploration, healing, and growth. I use my training in cognitive behavioral therapy to explore how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors impact your overall mood. I use psychodynamic and attachment theories to examine how early life experiences continue to affect your relationships and patterns throughout your life. Therapy offers a safe place to ask questions, to think creatively and problem solve, and to let yourself be vulnerable during a difficult time.
I specialize in working with autistic women and women with ADHD, and have completed advanced trainings in neurodiversity-affirming therapy and ADHD assessment. I am also trained in perinatal mental health, which includes pregnancy and postpartum issues such as postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, and adjusting to parenthood. I enjoy helping college-age and young-adult clients navigate the challenges of adulthood.
LGBTQ-affirming and sex-positive Treatment
I am queer-identified and have extensive experience doing therapy with people across the LGBTQ+ spectrum. Iām knowledgeable about non-normative sexualities including polyamory and kink, and offer a warm and open environment for clients of all identities and sexualities.
Although it is not the main focus of my practice, I am a trained sex therapist and sexuality educator. I believe that healthy, fulfilling sexuality is important in all stages of life. If you are struggling with sexual functioning, sexual desire, or sexual pain following illness or childbirth, I will work with you to find solutions using a sex-positive framework.
